Honoring OurVeteransVeterans

The American Legion, Post 17, has teamed up with the RACE4WARRIORS nonprofit to build a Veteran’s Memorial, IN THE FIRST CITY, IN THE FIRST STATE, BECAUSE VETERANS COME FIRST. The centerpiece of the memorial will be a beautiful obelisk, which was built by the 512th Maintenance Squadron, Dover AFB, to honor our middle east veterans. there ARE over 7,130 dog tags within the obelisk. EACH DOG TAG REPRESENTS A VETERAN WHO HAS GIVEN THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE WHILE SERVING IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Circling the obelisk will be laser engrave bricks representing all Veterans WHO HAVE SERVICED ALL AROUND THE GLOBE!
